The beginning
January 2009
My journey started in 2009. I was on holiday with my father, his wife, my wife and our 18 month old daughter. My dad told me if I didn't change my lifestyle I would not grow old or if I did with poor health. I was 23 stone (146 kg), overworked, stressed and unhappy. My dad threw me a lifeline that day for which I am so grateful for even today. The life line NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
First impression
2009-2013
I read about NLP by Paul McKenna. I was sceptical and tried. I lost some weight and got to about 20 stone (133kg). I picked up swimming again and felt fitter and happier. I maintained this weight.

Getting Serious
NLP Take 2 2013-2016
Several years past by and I was offered a promotion at work, which meant being in front of customer all across Europe. I was excited and decided to further improve. This time I was more determined and followed the NLP techniques. I managed to shift more weight and reached 13 stone (82kg). I was over the moon and I maintained this weight for 18 months. My confidence also grew as result of this achievement
Wake Up call
2016-2021
In March 2016, I experienced a psychosis. This got me sectioned and changed my life. I was sectioned and hospitalised for 2 weeks. I found out that I had bipolar disorder and this his been in my family for generations.

This was my wake up call. I had loads of stress I wasn't aware of. This created a manic episode, which escalated to a psychosis.
​
Coming to term with the diagnosis made me depressed and I put most of my weight back on. I just didn't care anymore. My life was ruined. So I thought.....

2021 - Present
On a new journey
After achieving my healthy happy weight I decided it was time to eliminate alcohol from my life. I had tried several times to stop drinking alcohol. After 6 months I found myself drinking again. Often more than the previous attempts. I decided to look for a solution and I found the naked mind institute. I followed the 30 day alcohol free challenge. This is a free 30 day program and I highly recommend it, if you want to change your drinking habits.

I learned that alcohol created a lot of the anxiety I had. I found out that I wasn't alone waking up at 3 o'clock most nights, feeling extremely anxious and unable to sleep.
​
Packing up the booze changed my life again. I was finally able to become more aware and step out of the haze I was in. I felt more alive and my confidence grew.
​
I then picked up on mindfulness and yoga. I practice meditation daily and it has enhanced my life beyond my wildest dreams. I look at everyday as a new day. I am open to what is coming to me, more aware now of what does not serve me. This is what made me decide to become a free lance life transformational coach as I believe I can help you to identify that what truly matters to you
