Benefits of Nature (Nature as a natural anti depressant)

This morning my mind was buzzing. I had a million thoughts running through my head. I recently lost my job and I am busy interviewing and looking at different options to go from here. I have many ideas and fears, like any of us do in different ways.


Would this have happened a few years ago it would have probably made me a lot more stressed than it does today. I have many items in my tool box to help me deal with these moments. Today I chose to take Frank, our manager of cuddles for a walk in Outwoods in nearby Loughborough. Highly recommend it for a walk.


I have found no matter how stressed or down I feel a walk in the forest with my loyal friend Frank always calms me down. Especially early mornings. Walking gets the blood flowing and the forest air creates happy hormones. I put a smile on my face, which felt daft when I first did this. It works magic it does change my mood. Saying hello or even just showing a friendly smile is often well received and again gives me a boost.
